The Speicherstadt and the harbor in the Hanseatic city of Hamburg

Trainee Julia Renke was allowed to discover Hamburg for two days. In addition to great sights and exciting activities, the short trip also had a lot to offer in terms of culinary delights.

The first day started after the arrival with a harbor tour during which we were introduced to the history of Hamburg. Here we discover through a trip through locks and canals the Speicherstadt and the port, the concert halls of the musicals "The Lion King" and "The Ice Queen", numerous cargo ships and yachts, as well as the Elbphilharmonie.

After the harbor tour, we were able to explore more parts of the city on a Hop-On Hop-Off ride, during which we explored Speicherstadt, Hafen City and the Reeperbahn.

We concluded the day with dinner at Tim Mälzer's Bullerei. After a friendly reception, we were able to briefly explore the restaurant before sitting down to a four-course meal that left nothing to be desired.

The next day we continued in the afternoon. During a guided tour through the Speicherstadt we could learn more about this fascinating part of the Hanseatic city. The last destination of our trip was the "Chocoversum". Here we were first explained the history, as well as the cultivation of the cocoa bean and then we had the opportunity to create our own chocolate.

On my short trip I was able to discover Hamburg from one of its most beautiful sides and would visit the city again at any time.
